Ben Tisser

Ben Tisser, founder of Benari Insurance Agency, brings a distinctive blend of experience and dedication to his role as an insurance agent. Raised in Los Angeles, Ben pursued higher education at American Jewish University, earning degrees in Jewish Studies and Political Science, followed by ordination as a Cantor and a Master of Sacred Music from the Jewish Theological Seminary.

With 17 years of experience as a Cantor in some of America’s premiere Conservative synagogues, Ben has developed strong leadership skills, and has had the privilege of performing on stages across the US, Canada, Europe, and Israel. This experience has allowed him to relate to people of a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds, focusing on commonalities and celebrating differences, while establishing deep and lasting relationships. In his pulpit years, he developed pastoral skills, being privileged to welcome babies into this world and to hold hands with people as they left this world. He is deeply committed to accompanying his clients on their life journey.

Ben is also a passionate educator who loves making complex and sometimes daunting subjects (such as insurance!) accessible and understandable. At Benari Insurance Agency, he is committed to forging strong relationships with clients, taking the time to understand their needs and providing tailored insurance solutions.

Ben currently lives in Highland Park, IL, and is a proud father of two beautiful children and a dog. In his spare time, he delights in cooking, wine collecting, and contributing to various projects with the Cantors Assembly and other organizations.
